Mr. Sheldon Bloomfield

 

Dear Students, Families, and Community Members,

My name is Sheldon Bloomfield, and I am honored to serve as the new principal of James B. Edwards Elementary School. With over 27 years of experience in education as a teacher, a reading interventionist, instructional coach, and school administrator. I am excited to bring my passion for student success and community building to this vibrant school.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to creating safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. I believe that strong relationships between school, home, and the wider community are the foundation of academic and personal growth.

As a leader, my philosophy is simple: listen first, act with humanity, make decisions that are in the best interest of the little people, and lead by example. I believe in creating a culture where every student feels seen, every teacher feels supported, and every family feels welcome. Together, we can nurture a school environment that values kindness, encourages curiosity, and celebrates differences.

At James B. Edwards Elementary, I am looking forward to working collaboratively with our talented staff, supportive families, and most importantly, our amazing students. Together, we will continue to uphold a culture of excellence, innovation, integrity, and global leadership.
