Each year JBE Global Leadership holds a Science Fair for students in grades 1 - 5. The purpose of the Fair is to motivate each student to explore the world of science and to provide an opportunity for students to experience using the scientific process.Students in grades 1-4 can enter a project from one of four categories -experiment, model, collection, or observation. Students in grade 5 will be completing only experiments in which one manipulated variable is involved. Fifth graders can enter experiments in 1 of 3 categories: Life Science, Physical Science, and Earth/Space Science. First, second, and third place medals are given in each category. 1st and 2nd grades projects will be given participation ribbons only. After the Science Fair has been held, winning projects can be viewed in our Media Center. Students, parents, and teachers enjoy looking over the hundreds of entries at our annual Science Fair Open House.
