Principal Fountain

Ms. Fountain was born in Columbus, Ohio. Her family moved to Clearwater, Florida when she was a teenager and she graduated from Clearwater High School.  Ms. Fountain played clarinet in the marching band and was an editor on the yearbook staff. After high school, she moved to Nashville to attend Trevecca Nazarene University, where she earned her undergraduate and masters degrees in education. She began teaching in Glasgow, Scotland and after taking a few years off to stay at home with her daughters Caroline and Kate, she picked her career back up at Ashley River Creative Arts Elementary, in Charleston, SC.  In 2006, her family moved to Decatur, GA where Ms. Fountain continued her journey in education, becoming an instructional coach at Clairemont Elementary, earning an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, and becoming principal of Oakhurst Elementary.  Ms. Fountain is excited to return to the Lowcountry to be the principal at James B. Edwards.  When she isn't working or spending time with her daughters and grandsons, Jacob, Jojo, and Judah. Ms. Fountain enjoys being outside, listening to live music, going to Riverdogs games, reading, and painting. While Ms. Fountain has lived in many wonderful locations, she remains an Ohio State Buckeye fan.
